Resumo: The names given to sex workers in the Brazilian Legal Amazon region are analyzed, based on data from the Brazilian Linguistic Atlas (ALIB). As a theoretical basis, studies in the fields of modern feminism, lexicology, dialectology and geolinguistics were considered. The data were collected from the linguistic maps of question 142 of the ALIB questionnaire, which deals with the lexical item Prostitute. The results show that the lexicon of names given to women who prostitute themselves is still full of pejorative images, which are based on a structural machismo that subordinates women in all instances of society.

Como base teórica, foram considerados estudos nos campos do feminismo moderno, da lexicologia, da dialetologia e da geolinguística. Os dados foram coletados nas cartas linguísticas da questão 142 do questionário do ALIB, que versa sobre o item lexical Prostituta.
