Resumo: The present article has as objective to analise the role that reading plays in a model of society that try adopting, through a revolution organized by hierarchical relationships, in a cooperative concept, but that end being dominated by individual interests of “some more equal than others”. This is the analysis of the masterpiece Animal farm by english writer, Eric Arthur Blair, with the pseudonym, George Orwell. For such discussions, we based on the works of Michel Foucault (2010), Manguel (2004), Petit (2013), Piglia (2006) and Rouxel et al (2013).

Trata-se da análise da obra A revolução dos bichos, do escritor inglês, Eric Arthur Blair, de pseudónimo, George Orwell.
