Resumo: This work aims to introduce the social conception about childhood in the Middle ages and the early construction and valorization of the feeling about the period of childhood in contemporary age. The impact that this new feeling for childhood caused in the transcripts of children's stories from orality to writing will also be discussed. This is a of bibliographical study. To accomplish that, it was adopted the theoretical studies by Philippe Aries (2012), Michele Simonsen (1987), Luiz Mott (1991) and Laura de Mello e Souza (1991), among others. It was verified that, as the design in relation to the social feelings of the child has been changing in the course of time, there were also significant changes in the way of presenting the wonderful tales to children. It can be said that such transformations occurred in order to disseminate the values of the surrounding society in regard to the feelings of childhood.

Também será discutido o impacto que esse novo sentimento em relação à infância provocou nas transcrições dos contos infantis da oralidade para a escrita. Este estudo é de ordem bibliográfica. Para isso, adotou-se como aporte teórico estudos dos teóricos Philippe Ariès (2012), Michele Simonsen (1987), Luiz Mott (1991) e Laura de Mello e Souza (1991), entre outros. Verificou-se que, à medida que a concepção em relação aos sentimentos sociais da criança foi se alterando no decorrer dos tempos, também ocorreram transformações significativas no modo de apresentar os contos maravilhosos ao público infantil.
