Interfaces between Countryside Education and the rural youth peasant exodus

Resumo: ABSTRACT. During the past few decades, the countryside has significantly lost its population and, among youth, this disintegration has become even worse because it compromises the implantation of a socially fair project to Brazilian peasantry.  In this sense, this study aims at reflecting about the values and principles of Countryside Education faced with young peasants' exodus.  We highlight that we cannot deem educational experience that is developed among peasants responsible for solving this issue, even if these experiences are liberating.  We depart from the assumption that Countryside Education will contribute to restricting this migration flow through the values and principles it defends and whose realization takes place through educational practice.   Resulting from bibliographical research based on studies by Abramovay et al. (1998),  Caldart (2015, 2004, 2002), Molina (2015), Galindo (2014), among others, this investigation shows that the  phenomenon of rural youth peasant  exodus derives from a number of factors, among which the lack of comprehensive public policies.   We consider indispensible to broaden educational policies to the diversity and extension of peasantry, highlighting the objective reality of populations who create and recreate this space as a way of life.

Durante las últimas décadas el campo viene perdiendo expresivamente su contingente poblacional y, entre la juventud esa desintegración es más agravante, pues compromete la implementación de un proyecto socialmente justo para el campesinado brasileño. En este sentido, el presente estudio objetiva reflexionar sobre los valores y principios de la Educación del Campo frente al desafío del éxodo de la juventud campesina. Resaltamos que no podemos atribuir la responsabilidad de superación de esta problemática a las experiencias educativas desarrolladas en el campesinado, aunque emancipadoras. Partimos del supuesto de que la Educación del Campo contribuirá para restringir este flujo migratorio a través de los valores y principios que defienden y cuya materialización ocurre por las prácticas educativas. Resultante de la pesquisa bibliográfica apoyada en estudios de Abramovay et al. (1998), Caldart (2015, 2004, 2002), Molina (2015), Galindo (2014), entre otros, la investigación indicó que el fenómeno del éxodo rural de la juventud campesina proviene de innúmeros factores, destacando la ausencia de políticas públicas más amplias. Consideró, también, la imprescindible cobertura de las políticas educacionales a la diversidad y extensión del campesinado, resaltando la realidad objetiva de las poblaciones que crean e recrean este espacio como modo de vida.ABSTRACT. Neste sentido, o presente estudo objetiva refletir sobre os valores e princípios da Educação do Campo frente ao desafio do êxodo da juventude camponesa. Ressaltamos que não podemos atribuir a responsabilidade de superação desta problemática às experiências educativas que se desenvolvem no campesinato, ainda que emancipadoras. Partimos do pressuposto de que a Educação do Campo contribuirá para restringir este fluxo migratório através dos valores e princípios que defendem e cuja materialização ocorre através de práticas educativas.  Resultante de pesquisa bibliográfica apoiada em estudos de Abramovay et al. (1998), Caldart (2015, 2004, 2002), Molina (2015), Galindo (2014) entre outros, a investigação indicou que o fenômeno do êxodo rural da juventude camponesa provém de inúmeros fatores, em que sobressai a ausência de políticas públicas abrangentes. Considerou-se, também, a imprescindível inclusão da diversidade e extensão do campesinato nas políticas educacionais, ressaltando a realidade objetiva das populações que criam e recriam este espaço como modo de vida.
