Resumo: ABSTRACT. The training of rural educators currently assumes the centrality of the debate on the theoretical-methodological foundations that provide educational processes with an emancipatory perspective. So, the article inquire about the place that art occupies in the teaching work of graduates of the degree in Rural Education, at the University of the State of Bahia (UNEB). The objective is to discuss conceptions and principles of the training of Educators, in the degree course in Rural Education and the contributions of art in this formative process, for the critical analysis of the place that art occupies in the teaching work of graduates. The methodology is anchored in dialectical historical materialism. The course recognition project, research data carried out in 2018 and the application of a questionnaire, by the Google forms digital platform, were used as reference. The results show that art is present in the pedagogical work of graduates, as well as assuming a prominent place. It concludes by pointing to artistic activities as a theoretical-methodological alternative for the training of rural educators and for the pedagogical work they carry out.

Entonces, lo artículo indaga-se sobre el lugar que ocupa el arte en la labor docente de los egresados de la carrera de Educación Rural, en la Universidad del Estado de Bahía (UNEB). El objetivo es discutir concepciones y principios de la formación  de Educadores, en la carrera de Educación Rural y los aportes del arte en este proceso formativo. La metodología adoptada es lo materialismo histórico dialéctico. Los instrumentos para el análisis son el proyecto de reconocimiento del curso, los datos de la investigación realizada en 2018 y la aplicación de un cuestionario, por la plataforma digital Google forms (2021). Los resultados muestran que el arte está presente en la labor pedagógico de los egresados. Se concluye señalando las actividades artísticas como una alternativa teórico- metodológica para la formación del (los) educador (as) en el campo y para la labor pedagógica que realizan.ABSTRACT. Assim, o artigo indaga acerca do lugar que a arte ocupa no trabalho docente de egressas(os) da licenciatura em Educação do Campo, da Universidade do Estado da Bahia (UNEB). Objetiva-se discutir concepções e princípios da formação de educadoras(es), no curso de licenciatura em Educação do Campo e as contribuições da arte nesse processo formativo, para a análise crítica do lugar que a arte ocupa no trabalho docente de egressos (as). A metodologia ancora-se no materialismo histórico dialético. Tomou-se como referência para análise o projeto de reconhecimento do curso, dados da pesquisa realizada em 2018 e a aplicação de um questionário, pela plataforma digital Google Forms (2021). Os resultados apontam que a arte está presente no trabalho pedagógico de egressas(os), assim como assume lugar de destaque. Conclui-se apontando as atividades artísticas como alternativa teórico- metodológica para a formação de educadoras(es) do campo e para o trabalho pedagógico que realizam.
