AN ANALYSIS OF THE DEGREE IN MATHEMATICS IN JI-PARANÁ/RO AND PERFORMANCE OF GRADUATES

Resumo: | The objective of this article is to present a historical construction of the course of Degree in Mathematics of the Federal University of Rondônia (UNIR), Ji-Paraná Campus, complemented by descriptive analysis of the profile and professional performance of their graduates. This is a study that was developed under the theoretical-methodological aspects of the History of Mathematical Education, seeking to answer the core question: Three decades after the creation of the Mathematics Degree of UNIR in Ji-Paraná, how has your historical trajectory occurred and how are your graduates acting? The following data sources were chosen and analyzed: Political Projects of the course, archives of the Secretariat of the course, curriculum lattes of the graduates and scientific publications about the researched course. It was evident that the course, over its 32 years, went through several ruptures, having contributed significantly to the Mathematical Education in the State of Rondônia and region. In addition, it has been able to train a quantitative number of teachers per class higher than the national average, but has not been able to fill the vacancies of its student selection process and a considerable number of graduates does not act as teachers. |

Se trata de un estudio que fue desarrollado bajo los aspectos teórico-metodológico de la Historia de la Educación Matemática, buscando dar respuesta a la pregunta esencial: Luego de tres décadas desde la creación de la licenciatura en matemática de la UNIR en Ji-Paraná, ¿cómo se desarrolló su trayectoria histórica y cómo se están desempeñando sus egresados? Se eligieron y analizaron las siguientes fuentes de datos: Proyectos políticos de la carrera, archivos de la Secretaría de la carrera, currículos lattes de los egresados y publicaciones científicas acerca del curso en cuestión. Se hizo evidente que el curso, en el transcurso de sus 32 años, atravesó varias rupturas, habiendo contribuido significativamente a la Educación Matemática en el estado de Rondonia y regiones. Además, ha logrado formar un número de profesores por clase superior al promedio nacional, pero no ha podido cubrir las vacantes de su proceso de admisión para alumnos y un número considerable de sus egresados no se desempeña como docente.O objetivo deste artigo é apresentar uma construção histórica do curso de Licenciatura em Matemática da Universidade Federal de Rondônia (UNIR), campus de Ji-Paraná, complementada pela análise descritiva do perfil e da atuação profissional dos seus egressos. Trata-se de um estudo que foi desenvolvido sob os aspectos teórico-metodológicos da História da Educação Matemática, buscando responder à questão cerne: passadas três décadas da criação da Licenciatura em Matemática da UNIR em Ji-Paraná, como ocorreu sua trajetória histórica e como estão atuando seus egressos? Foram eleitas e analisadas as seguintes fontes de dados: Projetos Políticos do curso, arquivos da secretaria do curso, currículo lattes dos egressos e publicações científicas acerca do curso pesquisado. Ficou evidente que o curso, ao longo dos seus 32 anos, passou por diversas rupturas, tendo contribuído significativamente para a Educação Matemática no Estado de Rondônia e região.
