Planning in early childhood education and the pandemic context: implications and challenges

Resumo: ABSTRACT. The article aims to understand how it happened and what are the challenges of planning the pedagogical work of Early Childhood Education (ECE) teachers in the context of a pandemic. We opted for a qualitative and exploratory approach with field research, with interviews with teachers from a preschool in the city of Tocantinópolis/TO, as research strategies. We carried out a bibliographical research considering the relevant literature and legislation. The results show the challenges for planning in ECE in the pandemic context, such as the lack of economic and technological resources, lack of knowledge and ability to use technologies to work with young children, excessive time in front of the computer and difficulties with connectivity. The study can provide reflection on the importance and challenges of Planning in EI through literature, legal documents and provisions for the construction of pedagogical and curricular proposals in EI, as well as the challenges of teachers in EI with the dimension of planning in the pandemic, especially in relation to the use of technologies as methodological strategies for remote work with children.

Los resultados destacan los desafíos para la planificación en ECE en el contexto de la pandemia, como la falta de recursos económicos y tecnológicos, la falta de conocimiento y capacidad de uso de tecnologías para trabajar con niños pequeños, el tiempo excesivo frente a la computadora y las dificultades con la conectividad. El estudio puede aportar reflexión sobre la importancia y desafíos de la Planificación en IE a través de la literatura, documentos legales y disposiciones para la construcción de propuestas pedagógicas y curriculares en IE, así como los desafíos de los docentes en IE con la dimensión de la planificación en la pandemia, especialmente en relación al uso de las tecnologías como estrategias metodológicas para el trabajo remoto con niños.ABSTRACT. Realizamos uma pesquisa bibliográfica considerando a literatura e a legislação pertinente. Os resultados evidenciam os desafios para o planejamento na EI no contexto pandêmico como a ausência de recursos econômicos e tecnológicos, baixo conhecimento e habilidade sobre o uso de tecnologias digitais para trabalhar com crianças pequenas, o tempo excessivo em frente ao computador e dificuldades com conectividade. O estudo pode proporcionar reflexão sobre a importância e desafios do Planejamento na EI por meio da literatura, dos documentos legais e disposições para construção das propostas pedagógicas e curriculares na EI, bem como limites, desafios e possibilidades das professoras na EI com a dimensão do planejamento na pandemia, sobretudo, em relação ao uso de tecnologias como estratégias metodológicas para o trabalho remoto com crianças.
