Resumo: In 2019, construction began on the Thematic Dossier "Mental Health and Illness in Higher Education Institutions" published in two volumes of the Revista Trabalho (En) Cena bringing together 20 articles in total. Based on the experience with the dossier, this article presents some reflections regarding research and intervention in mental health in the university context In relation to research, reflections move towards the adoption of strategies that articulate different research methods, in conducting longitudinal studies, in expanding the actors of the academic community studied and the need of consideration in the study of micro and macroeconomic variables, gender and race In the field of intervention, points such as the construction of spaces for speech and participation of the academic community, investment in continued prevention programs and real structural changes, are pointed out as central to the building a university environment that real foster healthy human development.

A partir de la experiencia del dossier, este artículo presenta algunas reflexiones sobre la investigación e intervención en salud mental en el contexto universitario. En relación con la investigación, las reflexiones se orientan hacia la adopción de estrategias que articulen los diferentes métodos de investigación, la realización de estudios longitudinales, la ampliación de los actores de la comunidad académica estudiada y la necesidad de considerar en los estudios las variables micro y macroeconómicas, el género y la raza. En el campo de la intervención se señalan puntos como la construcción de espacios de expresión y participación de la comunidad académica, la inversión en programas continuos de prevención y cambios estructurales reales, se apuntan como centrales en la construcción de un espacio universitario que realmente proporcione un desarrollo humano saludable.En 2019, le dossier thématique "Santé mentale et maladie dans les institutions d'enseignement supérieur" a été publié en deux volumes de la revue Trabalho (En)Cena, rassemblant 20 articles au total. À partir de l'expérience du dossier, cet article présente quelques réflexions sur la recherche et l'intervention en santé mentale dans le contexte universitaire. En ce qui concerne la recherche, les réflexions vont vers l'adoption de stratégies qui articulent différentes méthodes de recherche, la réalisation d'études longitudinales, l'élargissement des acteurs de la communauté universitaire étudiée et la nécessité de prendre en compte dans les études les variables micro et macroéconomiques, le genre et la race. Dans le domaine des interventions, points comme la construction d'espaces de parole et la participation de la communauté académique, l'investissement dans les programmes continus de prévention et les changements structurels réels, sont indiqués comme étant centraux dans la construction d'un environnement universitaire qui assure réellement un développement humain sain.Em 2019 iniciou-se a construção do Dossiê Temático "Saúde Mental e Adoecimento nas Instituições de Ensino Superior” publicado em dois volumes da Revista Trabalho (En)Cena congregando 20 artigos no total. À partir da experiência com o dossiê, este artigo apresenta algumas reflexões quanto a pesquisa e intervenção em saúde mental no contexto universitário. Em relação à pesquisa, as reflexões seguem na direção da adoção de estratégias que articulem métodos diferentes de pesquisa, na condução de estudos longitudinais, na ampliação dos atores da comunidade acadêmica estudados e da necessidade de consideração nos estudos de variáveis micro e macroeconômicas, de gênero e de raça.
