Resumo: From the cross-investigation of the field of labor sciences, history and philosophy, this article attempts to define the concepts of meaning of work and temporality in their specificities and interactions. This effort to define will base the analysis of the question of time in connection with that of work from data collected in investigative work carried out by researchers and students of the Conservatoire National des Arts et des Métiers. We start from the idea of a loss of common sense of time at work. Then we show how the concept of the meaning of work contains a dimension of order simultaneously phenomenological, psychological and temporal, related with the different ages of life. Work analysis.À partir de l’investigation croisée du champ des sciences du travail, de l’histoire et de la philosophie, cet article tente de définir les notions de sens du travail et de temporalité comprises dans leurs spécificités et interactions. Cet effort de définitions appuiera sur l’analyse de la question du temps en lien avec celle du travail à partir de travaux d’enquête réalisés par chercheurs et étudiants du Conservatoire National des Arts et des Métiers. On part de l’idée d’une perte du sens commun du temps au travail pour ensuite montrer en quoi la notion de sens du travail revêt une dimension d’ordre à la fois phénoménologique, psychologique et temporelle, en lien avec les différents âges de la vie.
