Resumo: Este artigo apresenta resultados de estudo qualitativo realizado com oficiais de justiça dos Poderes Judiciário Estadual e Federal do Rio Grande do Sul. Essa categoria profissional trabalha majoritariamente na rua, enfrentando diversas situações que caracterizam uma atividade permeada de imprevisibilidades. O objetivo do estudo foi compreender as relações entre o contexto de trabalho e os processos de saúde-adoecimento para esses servidores. Utilizou-se a técnica de entrevista individual semiestruturada para coleta dos dados, tendo como participantes 30 oficiais de justiça. O material empírico foi submetido à análise temática e discutido à luz da Psicodinâmica do Trabalho. As categorias temáticas demonstraram que os participantes têm vivenciado experiências de prazer-sofrimento no trabalho, cujo impacto tem repercutido em sua saúde física e psíquica.
