Power relationships are within society. The internet, mainly considering social networks, made Information available to anyone who wants to access it. This can be considered a way to confer power, which, before its creation, used to be in the hands of media channels, such as the radio, the newspaper, and television. If in Plato's age, the main concern was the division between fake and true discourses, nowadays, there is a movement concerned about the so-called post-truth: the shaping of public opinion less influenced by facts. This sort of discourse has implications not only on the media field, but also on the subjects' identity construction. Thus, this article aims to provide a reflection on Facebook social network as a site of writing of the self, making connection with the notions of post-truth and identity in this social interaction virtual environment.
