Resumo: This research reflects on the ethnomedia practices carried out by the Indigenous Council of Roraima’s (CIR) web portal during the Covid-19 pandemic, aiming to understand how the organization constructs meanings about the disease. To this end, we first identified the principles of Indigenous Ethnocommunication, based on Baniwa (2012) and Tupinambá (2016), and then employed the concepts of Representation by Hall (2003) and Soares (2007) and Discourse Analysis by Pêcheux (1997) and Souza (2014) to examine the corpus of study, which consists of 15 textual publications on Covid-19, made by the CIR between March 21 and April 21, 2020.

Universidade Federal do Tocantins - UFT2020-04-01info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfapplication/pdfhttps://sistemas.uft.edu.br/periodicos/index.php/observatorio/article/view/1101010.20873/uft.2447-4266.2020v6n2a17ptObservatory Journal; Vol. 6 No. 2 (2020): v. 6 n. 2 (2020): Human and Social Sciences against Covid-19 / Ciências Humanas e Sociais no enfrentamento da COVID-19; a17ptObservatorio Magazine; Vol. 6 Núm. 2 (2020): v. 6 n. 2 (2020): Human and Social Sciences against Covid-19 / Ciências Humanas e Sociais no enfrentamento da COVID-19; a17ptObservatoire Journal; Vol. 6 No. 2 (2020): v. 6 n. 2 (2020): Human and Social Sciences against Covid-19 / Ciências Humanas e Sociais no enfrentamento da COVID-19; a17ptRevista Observatório ; v. 6 n. 2 (2020): v. 6 n. 2 (2020): Human and Social Sciences against Covid-19 / Ciências Humanas e Sociais no enfrentamento da COVID-19; a17pt2447-426610.20873/uft.2447-4266.2020v6n2reponame:Revista Observatórioinstname:Universidade Federal do Tocantins (UFT)instacron:UFTporhttps://sistemas.uft.edu.br/periodicos/index.php/observatorio/article/view/11010/17746https://sistemas.uft.edu.br/periodicos/index.php/observatorio/article/view/11010/17747Copyright (c) 2020 Revista Observatório info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessAraújo, Bryan Chrystian da Costa Santi, Vilso Junior2022-03-04T13:02:36Zoai:ojs.revista.uft.edu.br:article/11010Revistahttps://sistemas.uft.edu.br/periodicos/index.php/observatorio/indexPUBhttps://sistemas.uft.edu.br/periodicos/index.php/observatorio/oaigilsonportouft@gmail.com||gilsonporto@uft.edu.br||2447-42662447-4266opendoar:2022-03-04T13:02:36Revista Observatório - Universidade Federal do Tocantins (UFT)false
