The fair goes to the university: analyses and perspectives of the Project Familiar Agriculture Fair in UFRRJ/IM

The University Extension Family Agriculture Fair it’s a thematic that deserves support and incentive by the differents agents who transit by the universitary space, because, fortify the agroecological productions and the construction of the local Food Sovereignty.  The Family Agriculture Fair of Multidisciplinar Institute of Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro enable the fortification about various themes of peasant life. This article intends contribute with reflections about the importance of University Extension for the consolidation of Family Agriculture of the Baixada Fluminense area and local Food Sovereignty. The methodology used was the Pesquisa-Ação (Thiollent, 2011), participating directly in all the constructions and maintenance p rocesses of this project. The results indicate the need for interaction of universitary community, on the extensor action and by the dialogue of knowledge in the Fair so that, in this way, leverage the  local Food Sovereignty too.
