Resumo: | The intention of this proposal is to recover memories, re-visit different times, moments of discovery, dives and new places where, as a geographer by training, I settled in Anthropology in an unpretentious way at first, but which over time has become my fulcrum. I found myself involved in hitherto unknown nuances that urged me to delve deeper and deeper into this universe. It was with Professor Carlos Rodrigues Brandão and exploring the world of Anthropology that I came to understand that the essence and experience of research lies in the manner that we conduct it. With Geography, I learned that "it is also necessary to be aware of the fundamental importance of fieldwork" (Lacoste, 2006, p. 87). Although Geography points in the direction of social responsibility as researchers, it was with Brandão's lessons that I came to " truthfully" understand the meaning of this commitment to the "other", in other words, to learn to share, to dialog together, to listen and understand "one of us". How was this awakening possible? What do I carry from this journey? How am I and/or how do I intend to be based on these lived and accumulated experiences? These are some of the questions that I am re-memorizing here through images and writings, many of them just little flashes of a life that holds all the intensity of each moment and that reminds me of the way I Am and the way I aspire to Remain in the world. |

How was this awakening possible? What do I carry from this journey? How am I and/or how do I intend to be based on these lived and accumulated experiences? These are some of the questions that I am re-memorizing here through images and writings, many of them just little flashes of a life that holds all the intensity of each moment and that reminds me of the way I Am and the way I aspire to Remain in the world.L'objectif de cette proposition est de retrouver des souvenirs, de revisiter d'autres temps, des moments de découverte, des incursions et des lieux nouveaux où, géographe de formation, j'ai abordé l'anthropologie d'abord sans prétention, mais au fil des ans, elle est devenue mon cheval de bataille.
