School education in the countryside, waters and forests territories in the marajoara Amazon: the provision of secondary education amid the challenges of rural space

Resumo: The article considers on one of the challenges faced by countryside education, especially with regard to the provision of secondary education in rural areas of the municipalities that form the Mid Geographical Region of Breves, Marajó Archipelago, in the state of Pará. The methodological approach was the construction of a theoretical foundation on countryside education and its intrinsic relationship with the territory, as well as a census survey of basic education and demographic data from 2010 and 2022. The results of this survey indicated a critical scenario with regard to the number of secondary schools located in rural areas of marajoara Amazon, in contrast of the greater number of inhabitants living in the same area of this region, which certainly compromises the autonomy and emancipation through the violation of the right to education of traditional riverside communities in these territories that belongs to the countryside, waters and forests.

O percurso metodológico consistiu em fundamentação teórica acerca da educação do campo em sua relação intrínseca com o território tradicional ribeirinho, bem como levantamento censitário da educação básica e de dados demográficos, referentes aos censos de 2010 e 2022.
