Resumo: | In the present text, an analysis of the university and the production of knowledge is proposed, considering the socio-political-cultural transformations that have shaped social structures in Latin America over the centuries. Thus, it is important to analyze the university in its relationship with society, in a movement feeling-thinking, linked to the “place consciousness” and with centrality in the territory. Thus, we seek to understand the university as a territory that is dynamic, multidimensional and conflicting, spatially extending in different ways and at different scales. Therefore, this reflection is divided into three moments of analysis: the first discusses the roots of the university and its great historical-political transformations; in the second moment, it focuses on the discussion of “place consciousness” and in the understanding of the university as a territory, and, finally, in the third moment, social participation is approached as a possible and necessary path of approximation and communication between university and regional society. In this sense, we understand that the dialogue of knowledge presents itself as a possibility of doing science, supporting and enabling the construction and strengthening of political, critical, class consciousness linked to the place, to the territories; in the same way, new forms of teaching-learning, focused on the university-community approach, prove to be necessary and important. |

En el presente texto se propone un análisis de la universidad y la producción de conocimiento, considerando las transformaciones sociopolíticas-culturales que han configurado las estructuras sociales en América Latina a lo largo de los siglos. Así, es importante analizar la universidad en su relación con la sociedad, en un movimiento sentirpensar, ligado a la “conciencia de lugar” y con centralidad en el territorio. Así, buscamos entender la universidad como un territorio dinámico, multidimensional y conflictivo, que se extiende espacialmente de diferentes maneras y en diferentes escalas. Por tanto, esta reflexión se divide en tres momentos de análisis, en el primero se discuten las raíces de la universidad y sus grandes transformaciones histórico-políticas; en el segundo momento, se centra en la discusión de la “conciencia de lugar” y en la comprensión de la universidad como territorio y, finalmente, en el tercer momento, se aborda la participación social como vía posible y necesaria de acercamiento y comunicación entre universidades y sociedad regional. En este sentido, entendemos que el diálogo de saberes se presenta como una posibilidad de hacer ciencia, apoyando y posibilitando la construcción y fortalecimiento de conciencias políticas, críticas, de clase, vinculadas al lugar, a los territorios; de igual manera, nuevas formas de enseñanza-aprendizaje, enfocados en el enfoque universidad-comunidad, son necesarios e importantes. No presente texto, propõem-se uma análise da universidade e da produção do conhecimento, considerando as transformações sócio-políticas-culturais que desenharam as estruturas sociais na América Latina ao longo dos séculos. Desse modo, faz-se importe analisar a universidade na sua relação com a sociedade, num movimento sentipensante, ligado à “consciência de lugar” e com centralidade no território. Assim, busca-se entender a universidade como um território que é dinâmico, multidimensional e conflitivo, estendendo-se espacialmente de diferentes maneiras e em distintas escalas. Para tanto, essa reflexão está dividida em três momentos de análise: no primeiro discute-se as raízes da universidade e suas grandes transformações histórico-políticas; no segundo momento, centra-se na discussão da “consciência de lugar” e na compreensão da universidade como um território, e, por fim, no terceiro momento, aborda-se a participação social como um caminho possível e necessário de aproximação e comunicação entre universidade e sociedade regional. Nesse sentido, entendemos que o diálogo de saberes apresenta-se como uma possibilidade de fazer ciência, fundamentando e possibilitando a construção e o fortalecimento da consciência política, crítica, de classe ligada ao lugar, aos territórios; da mesma forma, novas formas de ensino-aprendizagem, voltadas para a aproximação universidade-comunidade mostram-se necessárias e importantes.
