Resumo: | The objective is from the analysis of data found in a Scientific Initiation Research (CI) - which sought from data obtained from secondary sources such as: IBGE, IPEIA, PNAD, among others, to reflect and problematize the effects of the pandemic in the world of work in relation to the female gender – fostering a debate on how the loss of rights, unemployment, reflected in the even greater increase in the feminization of poverty, impacts the physical and mental health of women and how Psychology as a science and profession should be to do with economic, social and gender issues, understanding psychic suffering as being ethical-political. This is qualitative research, in which the analyzes given are anchored both in Critical Psychology and in Historical-Cultural Psychology, from the perspective of dialectical historical materialism. It was recognized that gender inequalities are historical and intersected with race and class discrimination, making women the most penalized in times of crisis. It was found that Psychology itself historically acted in the perpetuation of such inequalities, being essential the reformulation and emergence of new critical social theoretical perspectives in order to question the traditional postulates. It concluded by tracing some possible outlines for Psychology to act in favor of true human emancipation, helping to promote public policies concerned with gender, race and class. |
