Resumo: This paper aims to analyze the relationship between users’ reactions and comments on a Facebook page. We consider that actions performed by users, such as reading and surfing the Internet, must be related (COSCARELLI, 2016), and that the way interaction takes place in this environment can vary from a basic level (in reactions such as “like”, “love”, “laugh” etc.), passing through sharing posts, to commenting, possibly the deepest level of interaction between users and posts. If users take part of these networks seeking affinity (RECUERO, 2012) and make use of their cognitive surplus to create a culture of participation in these spaces (SHIRKY, 2011), we expect that certain subjects are more inviting to interaction, an idea which we seek to verify using the group of reactions analyzed. We expect that these reactions, as well as their relationship with the original post they refer to, will allow us to predict certain characteristics of the comment made and of the type of text being commented. Thus, based on the data extraction made by the Netvizz app on a Facebook page, we focus on the “hate” (or “Grr”) reaction, hypothesizing that it may indicate either a controversial subject or group dissatisfaction.
