Resumo: The purpose of this article is to analyze a corpus of written texts presented at the Science and Technology Museum of the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (MCT-PUCRS) in view of the model of textual sequences put forth by Jean-Michel Adam (2019). Among the five types of sequences brought forth by Adam (2019), the explanatory type has been chosen for our study. The analysis of the corpus of texts of MCT-PUCRS has shown that the model of explanatory sequences is applicable to MCT-PUCRS texts. The study has also shown that one single text may present sequences of several types. Analyses of science and technology museum texts involving other textual sequences are suggested.
