Resumo: This study is based on the “memory” concepts of Pollak, Halbwachs, Bosi and “ethnic groups” of Barth,for the analysis and illustration of Italian-Brazilian culture through fragments of the memory of old people collected in direct and indirect interviews. The objective is justified by the result obtained by the analysis of ethnic groups, with a greater focus on Italian-Brazilians in their territorialities with the colonization of the west of Santa Catarina. In the sequence we have a deepening of the memory “Kofa ag” where we will find a bridge between the scientific knowledge and the memories of the four interviewees, with illustrations that give life to the narrators’ experiences, enlarging and enriching the immaterial memory, patrimony of the region.

O objetivo se justifica no resultado obtido pela análise de grupos étnicos, com enfoque maior nos ítalo-brasileiros em suas territorialidades, com a colonização do oeste catarinense.
