This report is about the experience lived in the “Dental prenatal extension project for high risk pregnant women” inserted in the actions of an extension program at the State University of Ponta Grossa, State of Paraná. The project was developed on the pillars of Teaching, Research and Extension with the objective of capacitating undergraduate students in the areas of Dentistry and Nursing under an interdisciplinary view within the scope of Dental Prenatal. The actions focused on the analysis of dental care conditions for pregnant women in municipalities belonging to the third Regional Health Region of Paraná. The project enabled the knowledge of the local reality of the municipalities covered, the dental care of high-risk pregnant women by a multiprofessional team and the realization of professional training. It is concluded that the products resulting from the project made it possible to formulate strategies that promote maternal and child health from an interdisciplinary perspective and also contributed to professional training through the collaborative practice of dental prenatal care.
