Resumo: | This article aims to develop reflections on the National Curriculum Guidelines (DCN) for Youth and Adult Education (EJA) based on the analysis of this document and the dialogue with bibliographies that discuss contemporary education within the scope of EJA, seeking to think education for the working class in the Brazilian context. The promulgation of the National Education Guidelines and Bases Laws (LDBEN), as well as the DCNs are part of a neoliberal Educational Reform movement, initiated in the 1990s under the influence of multilateral organizations. The results of the analysis of the aforementioned document indicate a discourse built from the perspective of globalized capitalism that seeks to cover up social reality and sustain individualistic, competitive and meritocratic thinking. The EJA appears in educational policies as a space of qualification of subjects for insertion in the labor market, and the conquest of citizenship, which has been demanding new skills of workers and training of consumers in the logic of the market. |
