Transexual participation in corporeal practices: intense problematizations for School Physical Education

Resumo: This study aims to analyze publications on transexual people’s participation in corporal practices, with the perspective of feeding the debate with potentiating problematizations around Physical Education Classes. This qualitative research is about document interpretation in the virtual environment, analyzing all stories on the theme issued in the blog Dibradoras, the newspaper El País Brazil, the magazine Carta Capital, and the portal Geledés. Empirical material underwent thematic analysis. Outcomes evidenced the following themes: transexual pioneering in the sports world, acceptance difficulty, prejudice in teams and sports federations, scientific and moral debates, and sports segregation. This quick overview already shows that communication media is engaged in including and accepting transgender athletes in corporal practices.

This quick overview already shows that communication media is engaged in including and accepting transgender athletes in corporal practices.Este estudo possui como objetivo analisar as publicações realizadas sobre a participação de transexuais nas práticas corporais, na perspectiva de produzir problematizações que possam potencializar esse debate nas aulas de Educação Física Escolar. Trata-se de pesquisa qualitativa, de interpretação de documentos em ambiente virtual online. Foram analisadas todas as reportagens publicadas no Blog Dibradoras, jornal El País Brasil, revista Carta Capital e Portal Geledés a respeito da temática em discussão. O material empírico foi submetido à análise temática. Os resultados evidenciaram os seguintes temas: pioneirismo transexual no mundo esportivo, dificuldade de aceitação e preconceito em times e federações esportivas, debates científicos e morais e a segregação esportiva.
