Resumo: | In the work O voo da arara-azul: escritos sobre a vida, cultura e educação ambiental, Brandão (2007) approaches the representation of the blue macaw as an understanding of the condition of fragility – typical of human beings –, but also the viability of resistance and hope in a scenario that tends to capture dreams and dignified existence. In this relationship, inspired by Ararinha’s travels, we will narrate about the adventure, the flights, routes, directions and nests of the Assistance Program for Admission to Technical and Higher Education (PAIETS) of the Federal University of Rio Grande, through the allegory of the blue macaw” created by Brandão (2007). Thus, when we look at the sky at the south end of the South coast, we see that PAIETS nourishes itself by diving into the concept of Popular Education, through learning with Paulo Freire and Carlos Rodrigues Brandão. It is an extension flight through the experience of popular pre-university courses in the city of Rio Grande, State of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Our anchorage, therefore, expands to new possibilities of exuding towards the transformation of the university and society. |
