Ancestralidade e produção de saúde na comunidade indígena Xokós, Sergipe: a educação popular como proposta de formação pelo diálogo intercultural

This article comes from an experience carried out by a group from the Improvement Course in Popular Education in Health (EdpopSUS) in the municipality of Lagarto, State of Sergipe, with the Xokó indigenous community, located in Caiçara lands, on the banks of São Francisco River, in Porto da Folha, State of Sergipe. It aims to report the experience of students of the course with the community as a proposal for intercultural dialogue for the construction of knowledge and the appreciation of traditional ways of life. Therefore, it is centered in the problematization of this experience, through the look of decoloniality and interculturality, proposed by Popular Education in Health in the encounter with history and ancestry, work and culture, and ways of life and health production, elements seen as potent ancestral expressions of the Xokó people. Thus, the dialogue proposed reaffirms the life and history of these people while proposes to reorient the health practices of EdpopSUS students.
