The university extension in the health promotion: Saúde em Foco project

Resumo: This study portrays the experiences of undergraduate students at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), in building spaces for discussion about relevant topics in health education. Descriptive study, experience report type, in the context of the actions of the Saúde em Foco extension project, carried out with the academic community of the UFRN and the external public in 2018.1’s semester. Three round tables were held. Debating topics about: women's health; teenage pregnancy, obstetric violence, and the sexual and reproductive health of women in deprivation of liberty; worker's health; removal of the rights of health professionals and their double shifts and integrative and complementary health practices as a care alternative for these professionals; anti-asylum fight; psychiatric reform, asylum practices and mental health. The construction of rich spaces for exchanging knowledge was extremely important for the critical development of its participants, where technical and experiential knowledge could be shared to complete each other and share experiences, contributing to health education and expanding debates.

Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, tipo relato de experiência, no contexto das ações do projeto de extensão “Saúde em Foco”, realizado junto à comunidade acadêmica da UFRN e ao público externo, no semestre 2018.1. Foram realizadas três mesas-redondas, em que foram debatidos temas como saúde da mulher; gravidez na adolescência; violência obstétrica e saúde sexual e reprodutiva da mulher em privação de liberdade; saúde do trabalhador; retirada de direitos dos profissionais da saúde, dupla jornada de trabalho e práticas integrativas e complementares em saúde como alternativa de cuidado para esses profissionais; luta antimanicomial; reforma psiquiátrica, práticas manicomiais e saúde mental.
