TPopular Health Education and the promotion of psycho-social rehabilitation: a report about the experience of a group in a Psycho-social Care Center for Alcohol and other Drugs

Resumo: | This report presents an experience report about the realization of a psycho-social rehabilitation group from the perspective of Popular Health Education (PHE) in a Psycho-social Care Center for Alcohol and other Drugs (CAPS AD, abbreviation in Portuguese), in the context of operation of the Residence, with an emphasis on Collective Mental Health, from the School of Public Health of the State of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. During this period, 21 weekly meetings of the group were held with users from the referred center in 2019. The group aimed to promote psycho-social rehabilitation, autonomy and critical reflection of its participants and was guided by the PHE methodology. Based on this experience, it has been analyzed how its realization could promote psycho-social rehabilitation of its participants, by identifying how the instruments adopted in the realization of this group contributed to the promotion of psycho-social rehabilitation. By highlighting PHE practices, this report contributes to the qualification of health care offered in the Unified Health System (UHS) and also it contributes to the strengthening of the Popular Health Education Policy. In addition, this study presents PHE as an alternative methodology to develop groups that aim at psycho-social rehabilitation in different UHS services. |

In addition, this study presents PHE as an alternative methodology to develop groups that aim at psycho-social rehabilitation in different UHS services.Este texto apresenta o relato da experiência sobre a realização de um grupo de reabilitação psicossocial na perspectiva da Educação Popular em Saúde (EPS) em um Centro de Atenção Psicossocial Álcool e outras Drogas (CAPS AD), no contexto da atuação da Residência, com ênfase em Saúde Mental Coletiva, da Escola de Saúde Pública do Rio Grande do Sul. Nesse período foram realizados 21 encontros semanais do grupo com usuários que estavam no referido CAPS no ano de 2019. O grupo tinha como objetivo a promoção da reabilitação psicossocial, da autonomia e da reflexão crítica de seus participantes, e teve como metodologia a EPS. A partir desta experiência, foi analisado de que forma a realização do grupo promoveu reabilitação psicossocial de seus integrantes, identificando quais os instrumentos adotados na realização desse grupo que contribuíram para tal. Ao evidenciar práticas de EPS, o relato contribui para a qualificação da atenção em saúde no Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS), além do fortalecimento da Política de Educação Popular em Saúde (PNEP-SUS).
