Resumo: | The aim of this essay was to problematize the influence of Freire's thought in the political-pedagogical practice of Physical Education at school and in the production of research in a counter-hegemonic perspective in this area of knowledge. After telling the story of the patron of brazilian education, we show that the contributions of Paulo Freire's writings were very relevant for a shift in the social function of the curricular component in Basic Education, since its object of study became the culture of practices from epistemologies produced by Human Sciences. Specifically about the production of knowledge, in dialogue with Freire, we defend the importance of building scientific knowledge with Physical Education teachers and not for them and them, in the utopia of thinking together as transformative intellectual teachers in public schools. |
