Still hoping: public school as a support network device for cases of violence against children and adolescents

This article presents a research proposal still in the implementation phase. The objective of this study is to understand the function of the public school as an essential device to support the care network for children and adolescents who are victims of violence. In a qualitative analysis approach, this research is based on Paulo Freire’s pedagogy, intertwined with collective health from the perspective of territoriality. For this, we used exploratory research applied in a deductive way, such as data collection and contextualization of the theme, through the literature available on online platforms. The discussion and results are the result of a critical analysis, based on the Freirean concept of action-reflection-action. We believe that health education at public educational institutions will provide these children and adolescents with an environment for exchanging affections and knowledge, as well as protecting and preventing themselves in their communities.
