Resumo: The article analyzes the artistic and theoretical work by Jacques Polieri (1928- 2011), director, theater theorist and French set designer who, through a multidisciplinary perspective, conceives and investigates various multimedia shows, in which he renewed an idea of representation. A hypothesis presented here is that his work is decisive for the development of techniques for using images in their relationship with space, configuring a theoretical-practical approach that is fundamental for the development of theater in the expanded field in contemporary times.
