This study aims to carry out a (re)construction of the formation of spatialities and temporalities in Campina Grande - Paraíba, highlighting relevant facts for its consolidation as a medium-size city. We emphasize essential moments during the golden period of cotton production, as well as its commercial past. Thus, this research adopts a qualitative methodology, through bibliographic. From these scientific sources, we discussed the construction of some spatialities and temporalities of Campina Grande, considered one of the most important cities in the Northeastern countryside. In this way, we bring up important historical and spatial issues that are decisive in terms of city space production. On the one hand, we emphasize that there was an expressive urban expansion, with great prominence in the regional scope, especially in the areas of industry, health, education, commerce, and other services. However, we cannot fail to show that there are socio-economic contrasts concerning its population, in which many of its inhabitants do not enjoy these services. Therefore, we consider the historical and spatial transformations in Campina Grande to be important, as they have an essential role in the urban expansion of this medium-sized city.
