Schiller, Arendt and the scape from the scope of needs: aesthetics, education and politics

Resumo: Althoug they belong to diferent centuries, Friedrich Schiller and Hannah Arendt make diagnosis of their own time, outline characteristics about our human condition and identify themselves as intellectuals borrower of Immanuel Kant. Trought his work  Letters on the Aesthetical Education of Man, Schiller sees in the art the way out for spiritual and political decadence and Arendt, in her essay Politics and Culture identifies the relations betwenn art, culture and politics. To investigate the similarities as well the differences between both thinkers constitues the aim of this article. Firstly we inquire the perception of both authors about the animal human condition and the need to it transgress. In the second one, we will investigate if there is, in the work of Arendt a correspondente to the “play driver” of Schiller and, finally we will focus on showing the Kantian foundations  that permeate the work of both. A travers son ouvrage Lettres sur l’éducation esthétique de l'homme, Schiller trouve dans l'art l’issue pour la décadence politique, et Arendt, dans La crise de la culture, identifie les relations présentes entre culture, art et politique. Cet article a pour objectif de rechercher ce qu’il y a de commun dans les thèses de ces deux auteurs, ainsi que d'identifier les différences entre eux. Nous aborderons les perceptions des deux auteurs sur la condition animale de l'homme ainsi que la nécessité de la transgresser. Ensuite on verifie s'il y a, dans l'œuvre d'Arendt, quelque élément correspondant à « l'homme qui joue » de Schiller, et enfin nous montrerons les fondements kantiens en commun chez les deux penseurs. Education.Schiller, Arendt e a fuga do reino das necessidades: estética, formação e política Apesar de pertencerem a diferentes séculos, Friedrich Schiller e Hannah Arendt diagnosticam  seu próprio tempo, caracterizam nossa condição humana e identificam-se como devedores intelectuais de Kant. Em sua obra Educação Estética do homem: em uma série de cartas, Schiller encontra na arte a via de saída para a decadência política. Arendt, em seu artigo A crise na cultura: sua importância social e política, identifica as relações presentes entre cultura, arte e política. Investigar o que há de comum nas teses destes dois autores, assim como identificar as diferenças entre eles constitui o objetivo deste artigo. Na primeira parte dele trataremos das percepções de ambos os autores a respeito da condição animal do homem, bem como da necessidade de a transgredir. Na segunda, verificaremos se há, na obra de Arendt, elementos correspondentes ao “homem que joga” de Schiller, e finalmente mostraremos os fundamentos kantianos em comum em ambos os pensadores.
