Resumo: This article aims to promote reflections on the access of visually impaired students to higher education and the university environment. To do so, it used interviews with 6 visually impaired students enrolled in universities in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul. The data were analyzed from the perspective of the fair school. It was verified the decline in the use of the Braille System, which difficults the accessibility in virtual environments and that, despite the wide range of laws tending to guarantee the access of students with disabilities to higher education, its non-compliance becomes noticeable, reverberating in the difficulty of access, in the permanence and, above all, in the success of the student with disability.

Para ello, se utilizaron entrevistas con 6 estudiantes con discapacidad visual matriculados en universidades del Estado de Mato Grosso do Sul. Los datos fueron analizados desde la perspectiva de la escuela justa. Se registró un declive en el uso del Sistema Braille, que dificulta la accesibilidad en un entorno virtual y que, a pesar de la amplia gama de leyes tendientes a garantizar el acceso a la educación superior de los estudiantes con discapacidad, su incumplimiento se hace notorio, repercutiendo en la dificultad de acceso, permanencia y, sobre todo, el éxito de los alumnos con discapacidad.Este artigo objetiva promover reflexões sobre o acesso de estudantes com deficiência visual à educação superior e à ambiência universitária. Para tanto, valeu-se de entrevistas de 6 estudantes com deficiência visual, matriculados em universidades no Estado de Mato Grosso do Sul. Os dados foram analisados na perspectiva da escola justa.
