Resumo: | The challenges and impacts imposed by the new coronavirus pandemic in the teaching work caused the problems here presented. These issues were raised by teachers, from public and private education systems, who participated in a survey carried out virtually in the second half of 2020. The questionnaire was responded by 323 educators from Ceará. The study had a bibliographic character, with a quali-quantitative approach and it was based on historical-dialectical materialism as a theory of knowledge. It was concluded that there is the increase in working time, accumulation/overload of activities, insufficient training and home transformation into a classroom. The new school context intensified the precariousness of work and the advance of neoliberal proposals, above all, remote learning and curriculum flexibility. |

O novo contexto escolar intensificou a precarização do trabalho e o avanço de propostas neoliberais, sobretudo, aprendizagem à distância e flexibilização curricular.
