Resumo: This paper aims to analyze the challenges for the policy of permanence and success at Instituto Federal de Santa Catarina (IFSC), Campus Continental Florianópolis, from the testimony of eight members from Local Commission and School Administration. The interviews were held between 2021 and 2022 and they show how occurred the local implantation of the Permanence and Success Plan of IFSC along the years of 2018 and 2019. This is a qualitative study with an exploratory nature, which operates with the methodologic approach of a documental research. In this text we conclude that the policy was specially characterized by data gathering and their application in specific actions in which assisting the students was an important strategy to be enhanced. Besides this, the work process within the campus happened foremost mechanically in order to answer the demand from the regulatory institution without significant and collective reflections.

Las entrevistas fueron realizadas entre 2021 y 2022 y muestran como ocurrió localmente la implantación del Plan de Permanencia y Éxito del IFSC en los años de 2018 y 2019. Este se trata de un estudio cualitativo, de naturaleza exploratoria, que utiliza el abordaje metodológico de la investigación documental. Se puede concluir que la implementación de la política se caracterizó, especialmente, por la recopilación de datos y aplicación de situaciones específicas, siéndola asistencia estudiantil una importante estrategia a ser ampliada. Además de eso, el proceso de trabajo en el Campus se dio, sobretodo, de manera mecanizada para que fuera posible atender a la demanda del organismo de control, sin reflexiones colectivas y profundas.O presente artigo analisa os desafios da política de permanência e êxito no Instituto Federal de Santa Catarina (IFSC), Câmpus Florianópolis Continente, a partir de depoimentos de oito integrantes da Comissão Local e da Gestão Escolar. As entrevistas foram realizadas entre 2021 e 2022 e mostram como ocorreu localmente a implantação do Plano de Permanência e Êxito do IFSC nos anos de 2018 e 2019. Trata-se de um estudo qualitativo, de natureza exploratória, utilizando-se da abordagem metodológica pesquisa documental. Conclui-se que a implementação da política caracterizou-se, especialmente, por levantamento de dados e aplicação de ações pontuais, sendo a assistência estudantil uma importante estratégia a ser ampliada.
