Resumo: If school is perceived as an opportunity for all children, it is more so for those from the working classes, who dream of reaching a better socio-professional status than that of their parents. However, instead of giving everyone an opportunity, the French school system seems to function well as a selection and recruitment agency (Chauvel, 2004). In this work, we carried out a documentary research, of a critical-analytical nature, on the current inequalities in the French education system. For this, we have taken into consideration the different currents of the sociology of education and the movements of demand for more social justice throughout history.

Sin embargo, en lugar de dar una oportunidad a todos, el sistema escolar francés parece funcionar como una agencia de selección y contratación (Chauvel, 2004). En este trabajo realizamos una investigación documental, de carácter crítico-analítico, sobre las desigualdades actuales en el sistema educativo francés. Para esto, hemos tomado en consideración las distintas corrientes de la sociología de la educación y los movimientos de reivindicación de más justicia social a lo largo de la historia.Si l’école est perçue comme une chance pour tous les enfants, elle l’est davantage pour ceux des classes populaires, qui rêvent d’accéder à un statut socioprofessionnel meilleur que celui de leurs parents. Cependant, au lieu de donner une opportunité à tous, le système scolaire français semble bien fonctionner comme une agence de sélection et de recrutement (Chauvel, 2004). Dans ce travail, nous avons réalisé une recherche documentaire, de caractère critique-analytique, sur les inégalités dans le système d’enseignement français. Pour cela, nous avons pris en considération les différents courants de la sociologie de l’éducation et les mouvements de revendication pour plus de justice sociale au long de l’histoire.Se a escola é percebida como uma oportunidade para todas as crianças é, entretanto, mais para aquelas da classe trabalhadora, que sonham em alcançar um status socioprofissional, melhor do que o dos seus pais.
