The expansion of Higher Technology Courses in Brazil: the Case of Entrepreneurship Course

Resumo: | The article aims to present some aspects of the expansion of Brazilian Higher Education, such as the increase in the offer of Higher Technology Courses, taking as a reference the Entrepreneurship Course. This is a documentary research whose main source is the Synopsis of Higher Education from 1997 to 2017. The main results corroborate the hypothesis that the expansion of Higher Education prioritized short-term undergraduate courses and the encouragement of entrepreneurial ideals, without the scientific-philosophical character of academic education. In this way, it promotes, simultaneously, a new form of precarious higher education and conformation in the face of unemployment and informality. |

Il s’agit d’une recherche documentaire dont la source principale est le Synopsis de l’Enseignement Supérieur de 1997 à 2017. Les résultats principaux corroborent l’hypothèse que l’expansion de l’Enseignement Supérieur a donné de la priorité aux cours de premier cycle de courte durée et à l’encouragement des idéaux entrepreneuriaux, sans le caractère scientifique-philosophique de l’enseignement universitaire. De cette manière, il promeut, simultanément, une nouvelle forme précaire de l’enseignement supérieur et de la conformation face au chômage et à l’informalité.O artigo tem como objetivo apresentar alguns aspectos da expansão do Ensino Superior brasileiro, como o aumento na oferta de Cursos Superiores de Tecnologia, tomando como referência o Curso de Empreendedorismo. Esta é uma pesquisa documental cuja fonte principal é a Sinopse da Educação Superior no período de 1997 a 2017. Os principais resultados corroboram a hipótese de que a expansão do Ensino Superior priorizou cursos de graduação de curta duração e o estímulo aos ideais empreendedores, sem o caráter científico-filosófico da formação acadêmica.
