Resumo: This article presents the repercussion of the Group of Studies and Research in Education and Culture (GEPEC) of the Graduate Program in Agricultural Education(PPGEA)of the Rural Federal University of Rio de Janeiro(UFRRJ).It is a bibliographical and memory work that aims to show the contributions of the group in the advancement of research on the generation and diffusion of knowledge in diverse socio-cultural environments, the importance of this knowledge in the classroom,and the geographic scope in the formation of new researchers, especiallyin ethnomathematics,in the north, northeast, central-west and southeastern Brazil.The results show that the group's researches have contributed to the development of actions in school education in several remote communities, as quilombolas, indigenous, fishermen and rural producers.

Este es un trabajo bibliográfico y de memoria que tiene como objetivo mostrar las contribuciones del grupo en el avance de la investigación sobre la generación y difusión del conocimiento en diversos entornos socioculturales, la importancia de este conocimiento en el aula y el alcance geográfico en la formación. de nuevos investigadores, especialmente en etnomatemáticas, en el norte, noreste, medio oeste y sureste de Brasil. Los resultados muestran que la investigación del grupo ha contribuido al desarrollo de acciones en educación escolar en varias comunidades distantes, como quilombolas, grupos étnicos indígenas, pescadores y productores rurales.Este artigo apresenta a repercussão do Grupo de Estudos e Pesquisas em Educação e Cultura (GEPEC) do Programa de Pós-graduação em Educação Agrícola (PPGEA) da Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ). Trata-se de um trabalho bibliográfico e de memória que tem como objetivo mostrar as contribuições do grupo no avanço de pesquisas sobre a geração e difusão do conhecimento em diversos ambientes socioculturais, a importância deste conhecimento na sala de aula, e o alcance geográfico na formação de novos pesquisadores, em especial em etnomatemática, nas regiões norte, nordeste, centro-oeste e sudeste do Brasil.
