Resumo: In this article we will discuss the Process of Selection of Didactic Books of Sciences in the Public Public School of Education, for the initial years of Elementary School, in Cascavel / PR.From the perspective of analyzing the participation of teachers and their perceptions about the Selection Process. To do so, the research methodology relies on documental, bibliographical research and field research through a questionnaire, delivered to 80 senior teachers from the 5th grade of the 50 municipal urban schools surveyed. In general terms, we conclude that the participation of teachers in the Selection Process of Didactic Books took place timidly and in a short period of time, despite the fact that the municipality followed the Ministry of Education guidelines and hoped for the involvement of teachers and other professionals Involved in the teaching and learningprocess.

La perspectiva era analizar la participación de los docentes y sus percepciones sobre este proceso. Para este fin, la metodología de investigación se basó en el enfoque documental, bibliográfico y de campo, que fue a través de un cuestionario como instrumento de recolección, entregado a los 80 maestros regentes del 5to grado de las 50 escuelas municipales encuestadas. En general, el análisis indicó que la participación de los maestros en el proceso de selección de libros de texto fue tímida y ligera en un corto período de tiempo, aunque los gerentes locales siguieron las pautas del Ministerio de Educación y buscaron la participación de los maestros. maestros y otros profesionales que trabajan en el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje.Neste artigo é discutido o processo de seleção dos livros didáticos de Ciências para os anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental, tendo como campo de investigação e análise a Rede Pública Municipal de Ensino de Cascavel/PR. A perspectiva foi de analisar a participação dos professores e suas percepções a respeito deste processo. Para tanto, a metodologia da pesquisa contou com a abordagem documental, bibliográfica e de campo sendo esta por meio de questionário como instrumento de coleta, entregue aos 80 professores regentes dos 5º anos das 50 escolas urbanas municipais pesquisadas.
