Resumo: This work deals with the theme of the hearing subjects and children of deaf parents, who have been denominated as Children of Deaf Adults (Codas). The objective was to analyze the process of schooling and communicative interaction of a Coda child, enrolled in a municipal day care center. A qualitative approach was adopted and the methodology of the case study was used. For data collection, semi-structured interviews were carried out with the teachers and the coordinator who worked or had already worked with this child, in the years 2014 and 2015. The interviews were recorded, transcribed and analyzed, using also collaborative observations In the group where he studied the child and in the records in the field diary. It was concluded that the child faces communicative difficulties and social interaction in the context of the educational institution, being sometimes confused with a child with disabilities, in addition to suffering the negative consequences of the institution's inability to establish communication with their deaf parents.

El objetivo era analizar el proceso de escolarización y la interacción comunicativa de un niño Coda, inscrito en una guardería municipal. Se adoptó un enfoque cualitativo y se utilizó la metodología del estudio de caso. Para la recopilación de datos, se realizaron entrevistas semiestructuradas con los maestros y el coordinador que trabajaron o habían trabajado con este niño en 2014 y 2015. Las entrevistas se grabaron, transcribieron y analizaron, también utilizando observaciones coparticipantes. en la clase donde estaba estudiando al niño y los registros del diario de campo. Se concluyó que el niño enfrenta dificultades comunicativas y de interacción social en el contexto de la institución educativa, a veces confundido con un niño con discapacidad, además de sufrir las consecuencias negativas de la incapacidad de la institución para establecer comunicación con sus padres sordos. Este trabalho aborda a temática dos sujeitos ouvintes e filhos de pais surdos, os quais têm sido denominados como Children of Deaf Adults (Codas). Objetivou-se analisar o processo de escolarização e interação comunicativa de uma criança Coda, matriculada em uma creche municipal. Adotou-se abordagem qualitativa e recorreu-se à metodologia do estudo de caso. Para coleta de dados, foram realizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas com as professoras e a coordenadora que trabalhavam ou já tinham trabalhado com essa criança, nos anos de 2014 e 2015. As entrevistas foram gravadas, transcritas e analisadas, recorrendo-se, também, a observações coparticipantes na turma onde estudava a criança e a registros em diário de campo.
