Resumo: | The aim of this paper is to analyze how income, college degree, and location affect the decision to invest in a private pension. Brazil's demographic transition has increased the number of older people and reduced the number of births. The EC 103 (2019) arises to restructure the Social Security System, and private pension plans assume prominence. This study estimates the demand for a private pension by using a logit model, based on 2012 and 2015 PNAD (IBGE) microdata. The results indicate that income and college degree increased the probability of contribution by 14% and 224%, respectively. |
