Resumo: Abstrat: The present paper the most significant forces driving the globalization of the Brazilian agrifood system. It stands out the international trade, the role of the transnational corporation and its impacts on agrifood configuration. This diferents elements of the globalization of the Brazilian agrifood system claims new policy strategy.

Entre outras dimensões desse processo, destacam-se as principais tendências do comércio internacional de produtos agrícolas brasileiros, o papel das firmas transnacionais e seus impactos sobre as diferentes configurações agroalimentares. Em conclusão, pergunta-se em que medida os elementos destacados implicam opções estratégicas que não podem ser reduzidas à liberalização do comércio e ao acesso aos mercados. Sumário: 1. Introdução; 2. Poder e coordenação nas cadeias e redes agroalimentares globais; 3. O comércio internacional de produtos agrícolas brasileiros; 4.
