Nutrition accounts for about 70% of the production costs of industrial poultry, the search for alternative corn feed such as sorghum is a way to reduce costs, since the diets offered to broilers are mostly the basis. of corn. The use of exoenzymes added to feed favors a better utilization of nutrients available in the diet, reducing losses and thus also reducing costs. The objective of this work was to evaluate the effect of using ground or whole grain sorghum with the inclusion of exoenzyme protease on weight gain, feed conversion of broilers. The experiment was carried out in a completely randomized design with four treatments with six replications, with 20 birds in each box, 10 males and 10 females of Cobb Slow strain, totaling 120 birds per treatment. The treatments were: whole sorghum diet without protease; protease-free ground sorghum feed; protease-ground sorghum feed; whole grain sorghum feed with protease. Performance parameters were evaluated at 42 days, with all birds weighed to obtain live weight (PV), feed intake (CR), and feed conversion (CA) data. It was observed that there was no difference between treatments in the evaluated performance parameters. Therefore, the inclusion of protease exoenzyme at the tested levels in sorghum diets does not compromise the performance of broilers at 42 days.
