Resumo: Brazil is a large meat producer and exporter that, due to high demand, has been adopting the confinement regime to accelerate production, but the economic feasibility analysis is still a challenge. Therefore, the aim of this study was to analyze the feasibility of using two different breeds (Angus and Nellore) in the finishing phase in a feedlot. For that, 240 animals were used, 120 Angus and 120 Nellores, divided into paddocks of equal size, food and water supply. These animals were confined for 120 days and biological efficiency (CMS / @ produced) and total cost (operational + feed) data were collected and provided for the present study. Thus, it was concluded that Angus animals had better performance for both analyzed variables, showing superiority and greater viability for use in the termination of confined cattle.

Estes animais ficaram confinados durante 120 dias e foram coletados e fornecidos para o presente estudo dados de eficiência biológica (CMS/@ produzida) e custo total (operacional+alimentar).
