Resumo: The objective of this study is to investigate the presence of psychoanalytical concepts in the work of Machado de Assis, searching for confluences between literature and psychoanalysis. For this we used the descriptors "Machado de Assis"; and "psychoanalysis" from the BVS Psicologia Brasil database with the aim of performing a systemic review. In the articles selected, a new research was carried out, aiming to establish a framework of key words relevant to the specifically psychoanalytical question and the division of the themes presented in the articles into categories of analysis. The categories were established according to the works analyzed by the authors or the objectives of the articles found. It was concluded that Machado's work is filled with terms and concepts also addressed in Freud's work and investigated by the authors analyzed. Among the topics studied, we highlight the comparison and attempt to understand psychoanalytic topics; the social and cultural analysis of the 19th century society; and the theme of the "double", the outer and inner soul in the tale "O espelho."

Para isso utilizou-se dos descritores “Machado de Assis”; e “psicanálise” a partir da base de dados BVS Psicologia Brasil com o intuito de realizar uma revisão sistêmica. Nos artigos escolhidos realizou-se nova pesquisa procurando estabelecer um quadro de palavras-chave relevantes à questão especificamente psicanalítica e a divisão dos temas apresentados nos artigos em categorias de análise. As categorias foram estabelecidas de acordo com as obras analisadas pelos autores ou pelos objetivos dos artigos encontrados. Concluiu-se que a obra machadiana é recheada de termos e conceitos abordados também na obra de Freud e investigados pelos autores analisados. Dentre os temas estudados destaca-se a comparação e tentativa de compreensão de tópicos psicanalíticos; a análise social e cultural da sociedade do séc.
