Open banking no Brasil: um estudo bibliométrico

The Open Financial System or Open Banking is understood as an ecosystem that is based on data sharing between banking institutions that is supported by the General Data Protection Law. With the opening of the banking system, customers would have more decision-making power regarding their personal finances, pricing of banking products and credit in a more accessible and cheaper way. Given this context, the main objective of this research is to verify the progress of studies on the topic in Brazil. And to do so, it intends to answer the question: “How did studies on Open Banking advance in Brazil?” To this end, the methodology adopted to develop this work is a bibliometric study. The sample consisted of 20 articles published between 2016 and 2023. The analysis took into account the year, periodical and objectives of the work. The results found showed that the 20 publications are in 18 different journals. Regarding the timeline, the first occurred in October 2016 and the next only in January 2019, and there were periods with more than one publication and the year 2021 stands out with the greatest number of publications. Regarding the description of the articles, the objectives vary from the proposal of structures for open banking, the implementation of the system in the United Kingdom and challenges facing banks. Among the keywords adopted, 5 of them were repeated and 7 articles were interconnected in the citation network.
