Utilização das ferramentas da qualidade: uma proposta de melhoria para o setor de obras de uma empresa de instalação de sistema fotovoltaico

This paper aims to understand the application of the quality tools cause and effect diagram, GUT matrix, 5 Whys and 5W2H before a problem faced by a company that installs photovoltaic systems. For this to be possible, the construction of this work, the case study method and the qualitative and quantitative approach were used, with an descriptive character. The results of the research indicate that the causes identified in the cause and effect diagram were: circuit breaker trip, burnout of a certain component, and mistaken installation of the equipment by the operator. With the help of the GUT matrix it was possible to list and order the causes according to their level of priority, starting with the most relevant ones to the less relevant ones. The 5 Whys tool provided the identification of root causes, which subsequently led to the development of suggestions for improvements through the application of 5W2H (action plan). In view of what was presented, it was concluded that the joint use of the aforementioned quality tools was essential in order to concretely visualize a proposal for improvement for the company studied.
