Resumo: It is possible to state that Brazil still seeks to spread the optimization in the construction process, in which the use of non rationalized techniques positions the country as one of the highest rates in the world of low productivity and high generation of polluting waste. Civil Construction is a heterogeneous sector composed of activities with different degrees of complexity, in which the use of new construction techniques, diversification of products and materials, better management and implementation of a new culture of acceptance of these production processes are the main requirements for the development of the sector productivity. The possibility of using containers used to transport products can be a sustainable solution in construction and directly influence the reduction of costs and building time compared to traditional construction methods. From the analysis of the use of maritime containers in civil construction and the pertinent questions to this construction technique, a residence is projected with sustainable, economical and fast alternatives.

A Construção Civil é um setor heterogêneo composto por atividades com diferentes graus de complexidade, em que o emprego de novas técnicas construtivas, diversificação de produtos e materiais, melhor gestão e implantação de uma nova cultura de aceitação desses processos produtivos são os principais quesitos para o aumento da produtividade do setor. A possibilidade do uso de contêineres usados no transporte de produtos pode ser uma solução sustentável na construção civil e influenciar diretamente na redução dos custos e tempo de execução, em comparação aos métodos construtivos tradicionais.
