The objective of this study was to characterize the morphological aspects of sperm of bulls obtained from testicles, epididymis and ductus deferens, in order to know the sperm maturation in the species. The genital tracts were obtained from frigorific animalstaken to the laboratory of animal reproduction of the Federal University of Uberlândia, where they were dissected and separated in portions. The testicles received a transversal cut in the middle third and were washed internally. The other portions were sliced and washed to release the spermatozoa.. Morphological evaluation used slides stained with rose bengal and Congo red, checking the percentage of individual cell abnormalities. The average percentage of spermatozoa abnormalities found in the testicles, epididymal head and body, epididymal tail and ductus deferens were 92.82%, 55.42%, 41.25% and 38.5% respectively, There was a decrease in sperm abnormalities from the testis to the ductus deferens, thus showing the process of sperm maturation and selection.
