To elaborate this work, a refrigeration project was developed for the refrigeration tunnel and the storage chamber, in order to freeze and store tilapia fillets in the city of Goiânia - GO. The project was based on a farmer’s need, who intends to implement it on his farm in the future. First, all the necessary processes were considered within the facility in the preparation of the fish so that it is in a position to commercialize. The methodology used is initially based on a calculation of the minimum thickness of the insulation panels, so that the temperature is maintained within the proposed environments. Subsequently, the maximum thermal load was calculated, in which it is assumed that the most undesirable condition is repeated regularly. With the calculated thermal load, the equipment for the facilities were selected. As expected, a refrigeration cycle was proposed with the R404-a, where it was verified that the recommended refrigeration system meets the demand of the thermal load. Finally, a layout of the factory was indicated, which includes all processes already addressed in the work.
